The New Year is here and I am more than excited for the fresh start! The wonderful Pantone company has announced it’s pick for 2017 color of the year. It is a life-affirming shade, and also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality.
Online shipping deadlines for Christmas may be fast approaching but it’s not too late to grab something sparkly for yourself. It’s the season for gold, glitter and everything in between!
The Holiday Season is in full swing! It’s time break out the cozy sweaters and enjoy that cool weather while we have it. I love reading outside this time of year, making hot chocolate with my daughter and decorating for the holidays. It’s also fun to get dressed up for a party or two. It’s hard to believe the year is almost over. Before we know it, 2017 will have snuck up on us.

The Bomber Jacket trend is certainly here to stay this year. A closet staple of celebrities and well known t.v. shows, this style has been seen everywhere across media. The Bomber Jacket, also known as a flight jacket, was originally created for use by pilots. After first being worn in World War I, the bomber jacket has grown in popularity throughout the world. This year it takes on a new look with bright colors, new textures and fresh silhouettes. Whether oversized or embroidered, it’s all about the details!

I thought it would be fun and helpful to share a few bookish inspired costumes you probably already have in your closet. These 3 costumes will have your friends wishing they had taken a peek through their own closets.

Fall is my favourite time of year! I can’t resist the layers, new season in fashion and the crisp, clean air that comes with cooler evenings and starry nights. I am also very much a mood reader this time of year. I love books that inspire snuggling up in a cozy blanket with a cup of something hot to drink. With all the various trends and classics making the rounds this season (anyone else really digging the Pantone Fall 2016 palette?), I decided to make my own inspiration board on Pinterest here covering all my favourite aspects of the season and things I am looking forward too!
I have always associated the season of Autumn as a time of new beginnings. The start of the new academic year definitely influences this nostalgia. It’s also my favourite time of year for many reasons; Halloween, book releases a plenty and Potter movie releases just to name a few (Fanstastic Beasts here we come!) It’s also that time of year I reevaluate everything in my closet and replenish the basics! It’s a great time to shop and try something new. Here are some of my favourite Autumn basics, great for school or work.
