Top 5 Fall Lipsticks To Try This Season

Print available from ColoursPrints on Etsy

I couldn’t resist a Weakness post for the last full week of October. With November just around the corner and the holiday season sneaking in it felt like the right time to feature my favourite fall lip colors!

NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Black Cherry $6.50 / NYX Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oil in Bang Bang $7.00 / Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Fig $26 /  Anastasia Beverly Hill Lip Gloss in Venom $16.00 /  Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Consuming Red $27.00 /

These are some of my tried and true favourites. Black Cherry by NYX Intense Butter Gloss is my personal favourite. I love to pair this with anything from a really clean makeup look to dramatic smoky eyes. I always get a lot of compliments when wearing this color.  I really love the formula of the new NYX Cosmetics Slip Tease Oil, it glides on smoothly and doesn’t dry out my lips. Fig is a great neutral color for a daytime look or when you really want your eyes to stand out. I received a sample of the Venom from ABH at Sephora and have been in love with this color all season! It so rich and intense, perfect for a night out. I have always enjoyed the ease of the Nars Velvet Matte pencils and this bordeaux color is perfect for on the go days. It’s easy to apply this more like a lip stain or build up the color for more punch.

  1. I normally don’t wear lipstick, for some reason I felt like I looked weird with it, and always went with a pale pink gloss so it would cover any foundation I got on my lips. This year, I’ve been dabbling with some colors and I actually don’t look weird, I look kind of cute! My lips aren’t as oddly shaped as I thought. These colors are PERFECT for my fall look, I prefer either paler nudes, or lighter shades of burgundy. I need them all! Bright red is a bit too much with my skin tone.
