It is safe to say I live, eat and breathe books & fashion. Bookstagram is my home away from home. So when I come across a fellow bookstagrammer as into fashion as much as I am you can definitely bet I am drawn in like a moth to a flame. Sara is absolutely wonderful! Not only does she have a great instagram account, she also writes at Sincerely, Sara. I am in love with her inspired sets based on books and prominent fictional characters. She was kind enough to do an interview with me so pull up a seat and enjoy!

What pulled you into reading and blogging about books?

I was originally writing just about fashion, but it felt like something was lacking and I LOVE books, so I decided to center my blog about both style and books. I sometimes even mix the two with my Inspired By series, which is when I create outfits based on books, movies, and TV shows. Now my blog feels more me!

Do you have a favourite book for 2016?sara 4sara 3

It’s so hard to choose just one! So far my standouts of the year are The Forbidden Wish, Jane Steele, and A Study in Charlotte. They’re so good!

Most underrated book you have read in the last year?

I absolutely love Gwenda Bond’s new Lois Lane series. I loved her first book Lois Lane: Fallout so much that I read it in one day. Her second book in the series Lois Lane: Double Down is coming out next month. I got an ARC copy of it and the book has such an intriguing mystery.

sara 1Is your daily fashion ever inspired by what you are reading?

That’s a great question! I think sometimes unconsciously my style can reflect what I’m reading. While reading A Study in Charlotte I tend to wore more blazers and black and classic pieces to reflect Charlotte Holmes’ style.

What are your key pieces/go-to pieces in your wardrobe?

I have a rather nerdy bookish style, so I wear a lot of colorful cardigans, bookish brooches (my favorite says “Hogwarts is my Home”), and pretty flats. Those are my everyday go-to pieces, especially the cardigans. I have so many and I always want more.

Who are your fashion icons/inspirations?

The three people whose style I adore are Mindy Kaling, Taylor Swift, and Emma Stone since they all have colorful, cute, and classic meets modern styles. I would absolutely love to raid their closets!

How does your love of reading and books inspire or influence your everyday life?

Books and reading inspire my everyday life because I think about when I can read next, what new books I want, what book covers I love so much that I want to create outfits based on them, and of course my own books since I’m currently writing two! My life goal is to be a published author!

Thank you so much Sara! I look forward to seeing more inspired sets and your own biblio-style.
